The smocked bishop dress is very versatile: flattering on all little girls, easy to fit and classic, it is equally suited to a lady’s nightgown. This class will take students from cutting out and preparing the bishop for pleating, specific instruction on smocking a bishop to avoid the “turtleneck” effect and have a perfectly centered design, through finishing techniques including a variety of sleeve options and hem treatments. $50, includes pleating sleeves if needed; pleating dress is additional. Sew Lovely Lingerie Technique Class

Saturday, March 3; 10 am - 1 pm

From just a yard of tricot, you can make a full slip, camisole, undies, slippers, and have enough fabric left over to make a doll dress!

Learn all the basics for sewing beautiful lingerie. Make slips, camisoles, undies, nightgowns, and slippers. In class you will sew samples of different types of seams and multiple ways to attach elastic and lace.

You will be provided with a booklet of instructions for each item we do in class with space to glue in your samples. Kits of fabric, elastic, and lace are included in the class fee. $25 - Judy Mihalka

Seasonal decorating can add a lift to any home! Each month we'll make a pillow that can be used in the upcoming month or season for home decorating boost. We will use 2 or 3 standard pillow forms for all of our pillows so all you'll have to do is switch the cover!

This is a work at your own pace class, so depending on the size of quilt and the amount you choose to do at home, you can complete the project in as little as four sessions:

Class One: Select quilt pattern, decide on theme, choose the embroidery designs, and begin selecting fabrics.

Class Two (or more): Complete one or more blocks including embroidery, piecing, and quilting

Class Three: Learn how to put the blocks together.

Class Four: add the borders and binding.

Applique is for everyone! This class will provide for those who love applique to work together on a variety of projects or one large project. We'll use a variety of techniques: hand applique, raw edge applique, machine applique, and craft applique.

The club meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 1:00 - 2:30 pm OR 4:00 - 5:30 pm

Hearts-on-a-stick can be given to a friend individually or put together as a bouquet. As well, small heart pillows mimic old-fashioned sweetheart candies.

Children will be cutting, fusing, hand-sewing, and machine sewing during this one and a half hour class.

Future instruction will include hand sewing, machine sewing, knitting, crocheting, and craft projects using all types of textiles and fibers.

An individual class is $45.00 or get a discount for 4 classes only $100! Fee includes most materials and tools. Students will be asked to bring items for personalizing various projects.
